Isaiah 27:6-8

^6 (A)In days to come^[a] Jacob shall take root,
    Israel shall blossom and put forth shoots
    and fill the whole world with fruit.
^7 (B)Has he struck them ^(C)as he struck those who struck them?
    Or have they been slain ^(D)as their slayers were slain?
^8 (E)Measure by measure,^[b] by exile you contended with them;
    ^(F)he removed them with his fierce breath^[c] in the day of the east wind.
